What We Do

“You don’t understand anything until you learn it more than one way.”

— Marvin Minsky

Our Mission

Simply put, the Environmental Humanities Hub and the Environmental Justice Art Museum, respectively, form a dynamic duo; both projects strive to champion interactive and inclusive exploration of the world around us, anchored to real-world ecological interests and approaches.

The Hub promises to address an even broader range of interdisciplinary research and communication about ecology and sustainability, connecting students with opportunities and faculty at William & Mary to promote the intersectional study of the environment.

Our Team

The Hub and EJAM are powered by a dedicated group of students and faculty members at William & Mary whose interests and expertise span multiple departments and disciplines. This team is likely to grow in the coming years, thanks to the new ENSP Environmental Humanities concentration at the university!
