Here's what we’re working on at the moment.

Environmental Justice Art Museum

As the first museum of its kind, the EJAM addresses increasingly urgent global concerns about ecological inequity.

“The ‘earth’ without ‘art’ is just ‘eh’.”

- Demetri Martin

EJAM explores the relationship between art and environmental justice in a variety of contemporary contexts, emphasizing the role of imagination and creativity in critical inquiry, public communication, education, and activism — and related dilemmas.

An Online Hub

The pursuit of environmental justice education must continually transform and evolve through flexible media platforms.

Growing a living and learning community.

The Hub is an ongoing effort to communicate and underscore ways in which people can become involved in diverse and culturally-enriched environmental issues on and off campus by: linking them to people who specialize in these areas of study; or introducing them to artists and activists who base their work on these ideas.

Intersectional and cross-listed courses offered by William & Mary that pair ecology with another discipline can interface with our project by using this online resource and even contributing to it by producing new research.

Flagship Newsletter

We explore the relationship between art and environmental justice in many contemporary contexts, including public communication and activism.

What’s the Scoop?

The Hub’s newsletter Oeco is an original bulletin put together by students that features exciting updates, announcements, and achievements. Worlds and ideas collide at this central point, and the newsletter is meant to coalesce these colorful pathways into a single report that can be readily and regularly shared with everyone.
